Tear Duct Surgery
Excessive tearing can be attributed to three primary causes:
- Excessive tear production by the eye
- Insufficient drainage of tears through the tear duct system
- Abnormal alignment of the eyelids over the eyeball
Depending on the specific diagnosis, simple eye drops can often address tearing. In some cases, surgical intervention may be necessary to regulate the moisture balance in your eyes.
Our doctors will determine the most suitable treatment or procedure tailored to your individual case.
Ideal candidates experience:
- Persistent tearing and eye discharge
- Patients with a history of nasal trauma and/or nasal surgery
